Valentines Day in Pune This year

Pune, popularly known as the Oxford of India , faced yet another disaster after the swine - flu. Only, this time , it was not a blow from nature, but was from humans.
Just a day before the Valentine's Day, when this students city was busy planning their event for the night, being also a saturday, it came across a very deadly news of a bomb blast, in a popular joint called the German Bakery. The Bakery is situated in the hub of the city in a place called Koregaon park.
Just when the place was squirming with people with varying nationalities, there was a huge explosion, which ripped apart the popular joint. Initillay it was informed as a cylinder blast in the kitchen but later, after investigation, it was announced to be a terrorist attack.
The explosion took away with it about 15 lives and left around 40 injured. In no time, all the fun, excitement and celebrations washed away replacing with fear, terror and uncertainity.
On the day of valentines day, there was no smile on the faces of the Puneites, instead there were tears and mourns.
But, still, people are recovering from the incident, and nothing can demoralise the spirit of Pune.
We all pray for the lives that are lost.
